In the project, carried out in spring 2021, the emphasis was on ABB's need for a recognizable and easy-to-read brochure that clearly explains the EU Ecodesign regulation rules for motors and drives. The trend for product brochures is clearly shifting towards more interactive solutions due to digitalization and environmentally friendly trends – the printing of brochures on paper is becoming a thing of the past, with more modern digital solutions taking their place.
Buorre's role in the project was to design, format, and create, together with the content producer, a digitally easy-to-read yet informative product brochure that can be distributed as a lightweight PDF file, supporting marketing and sales instead of using heavy file packages. The brochure is easily downloadable from ABB's website, can be sent as an email attachment, and can ultimately be saved to personal files if desired.

The horizontal format works great on computers and mobile devices. The layout is lighter compared to traditional printed brochures. The interactivity helps the reader to understand the whole structure of the brochure better, and to pay attention to the most important details. As a whole, it is visually impressive and the user experience has been refined.
The ecodesign brochure implementation, which takes into account the needs of end customers, has received positive feedback from the company's sales organization: salespeople can flexibly use the digital brochure in their work alongside their other tools. The pilot project will continue - followed by the design and production of ABB motor brochures, as well as brochures from other ABB units.
