Four Tips to Turn Innovations into Success

30.8.2024

How to Commercialize an Innovation? These tips can help launch your product or service idea at an affordable cost.

Refining an Innovation

You have a product or service idea, an innovation, or just a thought that needs to be developed further. The idea might have been put on the back burner, requiring a fresh start to move it forward. Perhaps the innovation is functional, but something is missing—possibly in installation or usability.

It could also be that you simply need to update a functional product in terms of design, manufacturability, or technology; fresh visions could give the product a new boost. Maybe your product is nearly perfect, but the target audience doesn’t quite understand it or can’t find it among competitors.

Refining product and service ideas can sometimes be quite challenging. How do you commercialize a product or service?

A Commercialized Concept

At Buorre, our team tackles these challenges daily, working with colleagues, entrepreneurs, and global companies alike. We strive to consider things from multiple perspectives, focusing on the customer, purpose, manufacturing, and user experience. A viable idea and, ultimately, a successful service or product involve numerous considerations. Over the years, I’ve found that it’s essential to address these four key questions from the start:

1. What is the product or service trying to solve and achieve? Define the tasks and goals.
2. Who is the product or service aimed at? Know and define your target audience.
3. Why is this worth doing? Outline the vision. Summarize what you aim to achieve with the product or service.
4. How will the idea be realized? Create a strategy.

By answering these questions, you can outline the direction and necessary tools for your efforts.
